Ms. Sithara Krishnakumar who is an old student of Farook College won the best playback singer award of Kerala Government Film Awards 2017 for the song വാനമകലുന്നുവോ rendered in the film vimana (വിമാനം) In 2013, Sithara won her first state award for the song ഏണ്ടോടീ നുഅന്പിളിച്ചന്തം in the film Celluloid

Mr. Diju V, Indian badminton player, who is an old student of Farook College won the G V Raja award,
which is the highest government-level recognition for sports persons in the state of Kerala. The award comprises a purse of Rs One lakh
and citation. Diju's performance
in the last Commonwealth Games helped him
win the attention of award committee.

FAROOK COLLEGE OLD STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION (FOSA) was formed in 1971, the Association aims at fostering and perpetuating friendship and co-operation among the alumni, through publications, informed group meetings and through other means. 1960-61 and BSc Physics during 1961-64).
After completing my MSc (Physics) at the University Physics Department,
Alwaye, I joined the College as a lecturer in 1966. I had to leave the college in 1969 consequent
